no one is important at home. no one bothers to celebrate dads birthday. it was jus another day. i dont know who remembered but i did. no one did anyting for him. he jus came home fr work n watched tv. we ate the cake seperately. the next day he took leave from work to see the dentist. alone. i feel so sad i dont know how to talk to anyone. i just cry and hide in the room. i feel terribly sad. maybe its pms. i just want to numb myself with some repetitive tings.
my fren... he told me to lower expectations. i must be patient, forgiving... all that. i just feel vvvvv sad...

it is not uncommon in Asia and 'fast-paced' country like ours not celebrating birthday.
my family members also do not celebrate though we remember each other's birthday and we see it as normal...
since you feel strongly about celebrating birthday, you can take the initiative to prepare and get everyone concerned to celebrate your father's birthday...
